Rebecca Parmatier – Director of Catering
Rebecca was born and raised in Tuscaloosa, AL. She found her heart drawn to Gulf Shores in 2014, following her deep-rooted passion for serving others. With a Business Science degree earned in 2017, Rebecca's remarkable career in customer service began at an early age, blossoming over 16 years into a tapestry of rich experiences and cherished relationships.
In 2016, Rebecca's path led her to Cosmos Restaurant & Bar, where she started as a server and swiftly rose through key leadership positions to become the Director of Catering. Through her unwavering dedication and innate talent for creating memorable moments, Rebecca has become a driving force behind our events, where clients return year after year, drawn by her genuine care and attention to detail.
Outside of her professional pursuits, Rebecca finds solace and joy in the simple moments shared with her husband, three children, and five beloved rescue cats. As the heart of her family's special events, she extends her gift for creating unforgettable experiences beyond her career, infusing every gathering with warmth, laughter, and a sense of belonging.

Melissa Setley - Offsite Special Events Manager
Melissa's journey from Bryan, Texas, to Pensacola, FL, shows her adventurous spirit and willingness to embrace new horizons. As a proud alumna of Texas A&M University, she brought her Texas roots to the Gulf Coast when she joined Cobalt in 2018, stepping into the role of Special Events Manager in April 2022.
Fuelled by a passion for discovery and a love of challenge, Melissa eagerly seized the opportunity to transition to the offsite manager position. In this role, she orchestrates events across Baldwin County with precision and flair, consistently surpassing client expectations and leaving a lasting impression on venues and attendees alike.
When not immersed in the whirlwind of event planning, Melissa satisfies her wanderlust by dreaming up her next travel escapade. On the sunny days when she's not jet-setting, you can often catch her enjoying a laid-back Corgi beach day with her sidekick, Winston. With her relatable blend of ambition, curiosity, and love for furry companions, Melissa is not just a valued member of the Cobalt team, but a friend to anyone who shares in her adventures.
Jamario Kennedy – Cobalt Special Events Manager
Jamario, originally from Jamaica, brought his vibrant spirit and strong work ethic to Orange Beach, Alabama, in 2022. Having studied international business and project management in Jamaica, he combines strategic planning with a natural talent for hospitality.
Jamario’s journey with our team began at Cobalt, where he gained hands-on experience as an expo, server, and key member of the catering staff. His dedication and leadership quickly propelled him through the ranks, earned him the respect of clients and colleagues alike, and led to his current role as Special Events Manager. Jamario is deeply committed to making every client feel welcomed, valued, and effortlessly taken care of from start to finish.
Outside of work, Jamario cherishes quality time spent with his family, focusing his world around his wife and their beautiful baby girl.
Nash J. Hutto – Cobalt Catering Manager
Born in Birmingham, Alabama, Nash relocated to the Gulf Coast with her family in 2007. She proudly graduated from Gulf Shores High School in 2010 as a dedicated Dolphin alumna before pursuing her studies in business management at the University of South Alabama.
Nash’s journey with our restaurant group began at Cobalt in 2011, where she spent years serving guests with her signature warmth. In 2016, a desire for a change of scenery took her to Denver, Colorado, where she built a successful career in logistics. However, the pull of the beach ultimately called her back home in 2024.
Since returning, Nash has been an invaluable asset across our brand—contributing her talents at Cosmos, Buzzcats, leading as a supervisor at our Caribe resort Cabana, and serving as a cherished member of our catering staff before earning her promotion to Catering Manager. Nash thrives on blending her creative flair with exceptional organizational skills and a relentless work ethic, ensuring every client experiences the seamless, unforgettable day they have been dreaming of.
Outside of work, she enjoys life with her beloved black cat, Patricia Snow, alongside her family and friends. Always up for travel and seeking out new experiences, Nash brings that same adventurous, open-hearted energy to everything she does.
