Nancy Cabarrubia - Director of Special Events
Nancy, a proud native of Foley, AL, has ingrained herself deeply within the fabric of Baldwin County. Following a distinguished career with the State Of Alabama Department of Conservation & Natural Resources at Gulf State Park, Nancy sought a new challenge in the vibrant Orange Beach area.
In 2012, she embarked on a journey with Cosmos Restaurant & Bar, where she showcased her passion for hospitality and community engagement. Four years later, Nancy transitioned to Director of Special Events with Alabama Coastal Catering, a position she has embraced with unwavering dedication and enthusiasm.
Under Nancy's leadership, the Special Events department has experienced remarkable growth, consistently exceeding expectations and delivering unforgettable experiences for clients and guests alike. Her commitment to excellence and meticulous attention to detail has earned her the admiration of colleagues and clients.
Outside of her work, Nancy enjoys time spent with her family.
Rebecca Parmatier - Cobalt Special Events Manager
Rebecca was born and raised in Tuscaloosa, AL. She found her heart drawn to Gulf Shores in 2014, following her deep-rooted passion for serving others. With a Business Science degree earned in 2017, Rebecca's remarkable career in customer service began at an early age, blossoming over 16 years into a tapestry of rich experiences and cherished relationships.
In 2016, Rebecca's path led her to Cosmos Restaurant & Bar, where she started as a server and swiftly rose to Special Events Manager by February 2022. Through her unwavering dedication and innate talent for creating memorable moments, Rebecca has become the driving force behind Cobalt events, where clients return year after year, drawn by her genuine care and attention to detail.
Outside of her professional pursuits, Rebecca finds solace and joy in the simple moments shared with her husband, three children, and five beloved rescue cats. As the heart of her family's special events, she extends her gift for creating unforgettable experiences beyond her career, infusing every gathering with warmth, laughter, and a sense of belonging.

Melissa Setley - Offsite Special Events Manager
Melissa's journey from Bryan, Texas, to Pensacola, FL, shows her adventurous spirit and willingness to embrace new horizons. As a proud alumna of Texas A&M University, she brought her Texas roots to the Gulf Coast when she joined Cobalt in 2018, stepping into the role of Special Events Manager in April 2022.
Fuelled by a passion for discovery and a love of challenge, Melissa eagerly seized the opportunity to transition to the offsite manager position. In this role, she orchestrates events across Baldwin County with precision and flair, consistently surpassing client expectations and leaving a lasting impression on venues and attendees alike.
When not immersed in the whirlwind of event planning, Melissa satisfies her wanderlust by dreaming up her next travel escapade. On the sunny days when she's not jet-setting, you can often catch her enjoying a laid-back Corgi beach day with her sidekick, Winston. With her relatable blend of ambition, curiosity, and love for furry companions, Melissa is not just a valued member of the Cobalt team, but a friend to anyone who shares in her adventures.
